About the award
An annual honour for the breeders shaping what comes next
The Kilima Future Forward Vanguard celebrates breeders and programs whose vision, innovation and leadership continue to shape the future of the South African Ankole industry. It honours those who are not only producing exceptional Ankole today, but actively building the breed for generations to come.
Entry is voluntary and open to all Ankole breeders and programs operating within South Africa, regardless of size. The winner’s name is permanently engraved onto the Vanguard Trophy.
